After Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh, another BJP-ruled state has raked up the 'Love Jihad' issue. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa vowed to finish 'Love Jihad'. Mr Yediyurappa is not the first BJP chief minister to raise this issue again; it all started with the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath making this statement. 'Love Jihad' as a political issue is not new to the BJP but in the middle of the pandemic and an economic crisis, its resurgence most certainly surprises many.
