Kanimozhi Opposes Women's Quota Bill, Flags Constitutional Dilution In Parliament
Speaking in the Lok Sabha on the Women's Reservation Bill, DMK MP Kanimozhi strongly opposed the legislation, invoking B.R. Ambedkar, Periyar and the idea of federal equality. Criticising what she called haste and dilution of constitutional values, she echoed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's demand for the bill's withdrawal and wider public consultation before any amendment.
