Tamil Nadu CM Vijay Changes Tone On Delimitation, DMK Puts Congress On Spot

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay appears to have softened his position on delimitation, shifting from a demand to permanently retain the Lok Sabha at 543 seats to seeking assurances that no state loses its share of parliamentary representation due to successful population control. His latest remarks leave room for an expansion of Lok Sabha seats, provided southern states do not see their proportional representation reduced. The DMK has seized on the shift, with MP Dayanidhi Maran questioning both Vijay's changed stance and whether Congress leader Rahul Gandhi agrees with it.
