Jharkhand Rajya Sabha Shock: Congress Loses Despite Having the Numbers

A dramatic twist in the Jharkhand Rajya Sabha elections has raised serious questions about cross-voting and alliance unity.

The ruling alliance of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress had a combined strength of 56 MLAs, enough to comfortably secure both Rajya Sabha seats. While the JMM candidate won with the required 30 votes, the Congress candidate, Pranav Verma, secured only 20 votes instead of the expected 26.
