Jagan steps up anti-Telangana protests, begins indefinite fast

YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy began an indefinite fast from today to protest against the Centre's decision to divide Andhra Pradesh by carving out one of its three regions, Telangana, as a new state. Mr Reddy's party is expecting a massive turnout for the protest fast from the other two regions of the state, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh, jointly known as "Seemandhra".
