Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while speaking in the J&K Assembly, said that Congress leader and J&K PCC president Tariq Hameed Karra gets upset whenever he praises the Prime Minister. Omar Abdullah said he is not someone who hesitates to acknowledge positive work done for Jammu and Kashmir. “I am not one of those people who would refuse to be thankful for a good cause. Wherever I receive support from the Prime Minister, the Home Minister or the Finance Minister, I thank them,” he said. The J&K Chief Minister later toned down the statement, saying that it happens among "friends". He added that We (Congress and the National Conference) are friends, and exchange of heated words happen.
