Iran Raises Stakes, Targets US-Linked Energy Infrastructure in GUlf

Iran has escalated the conflict by striking energy infrastructure in parts of the Gulf, while issuing a strong warning of further attacks on US-linked oil and gas facilities. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says the strikes have already triggered fires at key sites and has vowed stronger retaliation, calling recent US actions a “grave mistake.” Tehran has signalled that energy assets across countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar could be considered targets. With reports of missile and drone activity around critical energy hubs, global oil markets are reacting sharply amid fears of supply disruption and a wider regional escalation.
