IndiGo Under Fire: DGCA Seeks Answers In 24 Hours After Massive Delays And Cancellations

The DGCA has issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo's CEO after widespread delays and cancellations disrupted air travel across the country. The airline has 24 hours to explain the operational breakdown, with the regulator warning of strict action if the response is unsatisfactory. This follows a high-level review meeting between the Aviation Minister and IndiGo's leadership. To ease the impact on flyers, the government has introduced temporary fare caps-₹7,500 for short routes and up to ₹18,000 for long-haul sectors-applicable across all booking platforms.
