'Every Pilot Must Undergo A Dope Test': Civil Aviation Minister On DGCA's 100% Testing Plan
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said the DGCA is considering annual dope testing for 100% of pilots as part of efforts to strengthen aviation safety. At present, rules mandate random testing of 10% of pilots, but the regulator is consulting stakeholders on expanding the programme so that every pilot undergoes at least one dope test each year
