"My projection is that by 2047-2050, the size of the Indian Economy can grow up to 75 per cent to 80 per cent of the size of the Chinese Economy," said NITI Aayog member Dr Arvind Virmani to NDTV on economic vision for Viksit Bharat@2047. "If India implements the next generation of economic reforms well and we make the optimum utilisation of the opportunities available in the international economy, then India can reach more closer to the size of Chinese Economy. This is an optimistic scenario...Indian Economy has the potential to get at par with the Chinese Economy by 2047. But for that to happen, the international economic scenario must remain conducive and India must utilize the potential it has," he said.
