India's First Hydrogen Train a Step Towards Green Mobility: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Ahead of the launch of India's first hydrogen-powered train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project represents a major breakthrough in clean transportation technology. He highlighted that hydrogen propulsion can be used not only in railways but also in trucks, marine vessels and other sectors, creating opportunities for future exports. Explaining the technology, Vaishnaw said the train runs on green hydrogen produced from water and emits only water vapour, making it a zero-emission alternative to conventional transport.
