"India Promotes Marine, Leather, And Textile Exports with Input Duty Relief": FM Nirmala Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced measures to boost exports in marine leather, textiles, and footwear sectors:
Marine Products: Duty-free imports of specified inputs for processing seafood exports will be raised from 1% to 3% of FOB value of previous year's exports.
Leather & Footwear: Duty-free imports allowed for inputs previously limited to leather or synthetic footwear exports will now also cover shoe furs, supporting broader export growth.
