"What we are lacking in India is societal consensus behind the importance of science. As I spent a lot of time in China, I co-built a company in Beijing, and sold it a year later. The way China has gone leapfrogging it's quite different from how India is going about it. If China is completely eclipsing the US, we can definitely see what's there that's worth emulating," Tarun Khanna said.
