India China News | 'Border Resolution Not Required For Business With China', Says EAM S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said India is not insisting on a resolution of the boundary dispute with China before doing business, adding that maintaining peace and tranquillity along the border is the key condition. He said discussions on Chinese investment, market access and other business policies would be handled separately from the boundary question and any early harvest agreement. Jaishankar also flagged what he described as a highly one-sided trade balance with China, saying Indian businesses face limited market access in several sectors. He said India was not getting a level playing field in China despite offering Chinese businesses comparable access to the Indian market.
