"The government has been in power for eight years - if they wanted to relook at the (sedition) law they could have done it. They were not willing to put any timeline on the table. While the government reconsiders the law, which I believe is a way to put it on the back-burner, it's great that nobody can proceed on this colonial law till then", says Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra on the Supreme Court staying the sedition law until it is reviewed.
