US Midterms | Democrats Pull Off Major Upset As Annie Andrews Flips South Carolina
Democrat Annie Andrews has won South Carolina's US Senate race, defeating Republican Darline Graham in a major upset, according to media projections. The victory marks another Senate seat flipped by Democrats in the 2026 US midterm elections. South Carolina has long been a Republican stronghold, and Democrats had not won a Senate race in the state since 1998. Andrews, a paediatrician, campaigned against Graham, who was appointed to the seat following the death of her brother, Senator Lindsey Graham.
