Separatist group Hurriyat Conference has called for a protest march to Idgah on Friday. The area is a Hurriyat stronghold in downtown Srinagar. The Idgah Chalo march will begin at 2 pm and at least five lakh people are expected to take part. This show of strength by the separatists comes after the march to Muzaffarabad, Pampore last week and the rally outside the UN office in Srinagar earlier this week.
