Gujarat ATS Seizes Deadly Ricin Materials in Hyderabad Raid, Doctor Among Three Arrested
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad has seized highly toxic ricin precursor materials during a raid at a Hyderabad residence linked to Dr. Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyyad, a medical graduate from China. Officials recovered castor pulp, acetone, and extraction equipment allegedly used to produce the lethal toxin. Ricin, a potent biological agent, can be derived from castor waste and is deadly if inhaled, injected, or ingested. Investigators suspect the group was developing the substance for possible use as a biological weapon.
