Government Asks Airlines Not To Levy Additional Charges For 60% Seats In Flights
The government has directed airlines to keep at least 60 per cent of seats free from additional seat selection charges. Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said the move follows passenger complaints over extra fees and aims to make air travel more affordable. Airlines have also been asked to seat passengers on the same booking together and introduce clearer policies for carrying sports equipment, musical instruments and pets.
