Goa Fire Case: NDTV Tracks Luthra Brothers To Thailand, Club Demolished

In a major step toward revoking the passports of the Luthra brothers, who fled to Thailand after a fire at their Goa nightclub killed 25 people, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued notices asking them to explain within seven days why their passports should not be impounded.

The action follows a request from the Goa Police, which has already filed an FIR against Gaurav Luthra (44) and Saurabh Luthra (40) under charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder and criminal conspiracy.

The brothers left Delhi and flew to Phuket on an IndiGo flight just hours after their club - Birch by Romeo Lane in Arpora - went up in flames past midnight, killing five tourists and 20 staff members.

NDTV first accessed images of one of the brothers undergoing biometric checks at a Thailand airport, confirming their presence there. A Blue Corner Notice is now in place, and NDTV goes live to Thailand for the latest on the manhunt.
