Gang Rape Allegations Rock TVK: Party Takes Action Against Leader

Tamil Nadu politics has been jolted by a serious criminal case involving a functionary of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

The party has expelled youth wing functionary GK Balasubramanian after he was named as one of the accused in a gang rape case reported from Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) district. According to police, the accused allegedly lured a woman with the promise of a job, after which she was reportedly sexually assaulted. An investigation is currently underway, and the accused have been arrested.
