In an exclusive interview with NDTV after the BRICS Summit, South African Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola hailed the growing partnership between India and South Africa, describing the relationship as one rooted in a shared history and set to expand further in trade, technology, infrastructure and investment. Lamola revealed that President Cyril Ramaphosa has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to South Africa next year as the two countries prepare to celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations. He said both sides are looking to deepen cooperation in sectors ranging from artificial intelligence and energy to mining and financial interoperability, while working towards significantly boosting the current bilateral trade volume.
