Former Odisha Advocate General Ashok Mohanty has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the multi-crore chit fund scam in the state. Mr Mohanty claims he resigned as Odisha advocate general in May this year. However, his resignation was accepted by the Odisha government just a few days before his questioning by the CBI on September 12.
