₹12 Cr for 51 Thars: Odisha Orders Special Audit After NDTV Report
Following NDTV's report, the Odisha government has ordered a special audit into alleged irregularities in the purchase and customisation of 51 Mahindra Thar vehicles by the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department. Around ₹12 crore was spent on the SUVs meant for forest rangers, raising questions over procurement norms, costs and modifications. The audit will examine financial procedures and accountability in the deal.
