Israel has vowed to get to the “root” of the Flydubai cockpit attack as the UAE launches an investigation into the incident. The Omani co-pilot allegedly stabbed Indian Captain Smit Machchhar and attempted to crash flight FZ1073, which was carrying 174 people from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Passengers intervened and the aircraft made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. Israeli and Emirati authorities are investigating the co-pilot’s background, motive and possible links to others.
