Authorities in Delhi have issued a flood warning following the release of over 3.22 lakh cusecs of water from Haryana’s Hathnikund barrage - the highest discharge of the season. This has led to a steady rise in the Yamuna river's water level, prompting concerns of it crossing the danger mark of 205.33 meters at the Old Railway Bridge, a critical monitoring point. Officials anticipate the river may reach around 206 meters by evening, fueled by heavy rainfall in the upper Yamuna catchment.
