Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, in an exclusive interview to NDTV, says the SDM's words directing police to break heads was "not up to the mark" and that a report has been sought and action will be taken. However, he justified the police crackdown on farmers, saying the police will use force if attacked. He also said no force was used at the post where the SDM was deployed. Responding to questions over growing discontent with the government, he said elections are far away and JJP has no plans to go the Akali way. He also said talks between farmers and the centre is the only way forward.
