Union Minister Jitendra Singh - also the BJP's candidate from Udhampur - today said that the common man in Jammu and Kashmir now realises the importance of democracy. "The credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the people of the valley realise the true essence of democracy," Mr Singh said.
