EC's crackdown on liquor in Karnataka

The Election Commission has announced a new ploy to crackdown the use of liquor in elections. It will now reward 'informers' who tip off the EC on transportation of liquor consignment for enticing voters. The Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka, M N Vidyashankar also held a meeting with excise officers on steps to prevent illegal trade in liquor.
