In Tamil Nadu, the state government has allowed 100 per cent seating capacity in movie halls. The decision, however, has not gone down well with healthcare professionals and public health experts. An open letter by a doctor - posted on Facebook- is being widely shared on social media. It is addressed to actors Vijay and Silambarasan, who had met Chief Minister E Palaniswami with the request to open up theatres ahead of their upcoming movie releases. He said thousands of doctors like him, healthcare workers, police officials and sanitary workers were tired."
