The government of Uttar Pradesh met its 1 crore Covid jabs target for June a week ago but since then the pace of vaccinations has slowed down. This as the government has announced a fresh target - 10 crore jabs by August. It is a not an easy task though with vaccine hesitancy still a big issue across the state's vast rural areas. In remote Sonbhadra, puppet shows, songs and dance are being used to encourage people to get vaccinated.
