Congress Seeks Ban On ‘Parasakthi’ | History Distorted, Indira Gandhi Misrepresented?
A Youth Congress leader in Tamil Nadu has demanded a ban on Parasakthi, alleging that the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer distorts history and portrays the Congress party and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a negative light. The film, directed by Sudha Kongara, is set against the backdrop of the 1960s anti-Hindi imposition agitations. NDTV’s Sam Daniel spoke to the Congress leader, who cited factual inaccuracies, misuse of real images, and said the party plans to move court. Director Sudha Kongara has denied all allegations.
