Rahul Mamkootathil, once considered a rising star in Kerala politics, has resigned as Youth Congress President amid allegations of sending obscene messages. Following his resignation, further accusations of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct have surfaced.
In a separate incident, Avanthika Vishnu, a transgender woman, accused Rahul of being a sexual predator, alleging that he made offensive and vulgar remarks. In an exclusive interview with NDTV's Vasudha Venugopal, Avanthika revealed that she had been receiving sexually explicit messages and phone calls from Rahul for a long time.
She said she finally found the courage to come forward after seeing Malayalam actor Rini George publicly share her own allegations.
