While thousands of students celebrate the release of the CBSE Class 12th results, many others are left disappointed as a significant number report unexpectedly low scores, especially in the Science stream. Several students who cleared JEE Mains were unable to meet the mandatory 75% criteria in their board exams, raising serious concerns about eligibility for higher education admissions. Many students allege that flaws in the “digital evaluation” system have led to lower-than-expected marks. NDTV spoke to affected students who expressed frustration over the outcome and questioned the fairness of the assessment process. Along with students, teachers also raised concerns. Evaluator Sanjeev Jha, who was involved in checking answer sheets this year, pointed out shortcomings in the CBSE evaluation system and suggested that the digital evaluation process may have been introduced too hastily, potentially impacting accuracy and student results.
