Posco's perseverance has finally paid off. Its India plans now seem to be on track after the environment ministry has given conditional forest clearance for its Rs. 52,000 crore steel and port project in Odisha. Under the new agreement with the state government, Posco should not be allowed to export iron ore and it will be required to pay for regeneration of forest.
