A BJP-appointed fact-finding team led by retired Patna High Court judge L Narsimha Reddy was stopped from visiting riot-hit areas in Rishra in West Bengal's Hooghly district on Saturday. The team was also not allowed to visit Shibpur in Howrah today as the administration said prohibitory orders that ban large gatherings have been imposed in these areas. The police have set up barricades to stop people from entering these areas. The BJP's fact-finding team has sought an appointment with Home Secretary BP Gopalika.
