An ADR and Bihar Election Watch analysis has found that 32% of candidates contesting in Phase-1 of the Bihar Assembly Elections have declared criminal cases against themselves, with 27% facing serious charges including murder, attempt to murder, and crimes against women. CPI(ML) tops the list with 93% of its candidates having criminal records, followed by RJD at 76% and BJP at 65
