Bihar Election News | EC Voter List: Voters Up In Magadh, Lower In Seemanchal, Pawan Singh Joins BJP The Election Commission has released the final voter list for all 243 Bihar Assembly seats, featuring over 7.4 crore registered voters. During the revision process, around 69.3 lakh names were removed due to reasons like death, duplicate entries, and address changes, while over 21.5 lakh new voters were added. Ahead of the Bihar elections, Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has officially rejoined the BJP, meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and party chief J.P. Nadda in Delhi. In a significant political move, he also met with Upendra Kushwaha, leader of NDA ally Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP). Magadh, traditionally an NDA weakhold, recorded the highest addition of new voters (2.6%), potentially benefiting NDA’s efforts to regain ground in the region where Mahagathbandhan had dominated in 2020. Prime Minister Modi’s recent development push in Magadh aims to capitalize on this boost. Conversely, Seemanchal, with nearly 48% Muslim population and a strong INDIA alliance presence, saw the highest removal of voters—over 7.7% on average—which may impact the INDIA alliance’s voter base.
