The Election Commission has completed its two-day review of poll preparedness in Bihar, setting the stage for the formal announcement of the Assembly election schedule early next week. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and two election commissioners held a series of meetings in Patna with officials and representatives of national and state political parties. With the Assembly's term ending on November 22, elections to the 243 constituencies are expected to be announced soon. The Commission is also considering the festive season while finalizing the poll calendar to ensure smooth conduct and high voter turnout.
