 India, the second largest country in the world by population, has been working towards overall health and well-being through multiple programmes and it is evident with improvement under various health indices. At the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India's Lakshya - Sampoorn Swasthya Ka, experts talked about India's healthcare journey and some of the biggest gamechangers including the Universal Immunisation Programme, one of the largest public health programmes. The discussion was joined by Dr. Ashwathnarayan C. N., Minister for Higher Education, Karnataka, Dr Chandrakant Pandav, Founding Member of International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders and Padma Shri awardee, Suchitra Ella, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director, Bharat Biotech, Padma Bhushan awardee and Dileep Mavalankar, Director, Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar.
