The UK government's online safety bill, which is due to become a law this year, imposes a duty of care on tech companies to protect children from harmful content. The bill requires all porn sites to ensure children do not encounter their content. Any breach of the law carries the threat of a fine of up to 10% of a company's global turnover or, in extreme cases, blocking a website altogether.
