Assam's Hike In Service Fees On Political, Cultural Events Sees Stiff Opposition
The BJP government in Assam is facing stiff opposition over its decision to increase the service fees on political and cultural events. Earlier, political rallies and meetings used to attract Rs 100 fee, which has been increased to Rs 2,000. Around 15 opposition parties are set to protest the hike.
