Amit Shah News | Amit Shah Inaugurates Exhibition On New Criminal Laws In Kurukshetra

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated a state-level exhibition on the new criminal laws in Kurukshetra, Haryana, while dedicating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth around ₹900 crore. Attended by Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini and other dignitaries, Shah praised the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam as landmark reforms replacing British-era laws and focusing on justice over punishment. He highlighted significant improvements, including Haryana’s conviction rate doubling to over 80%, increased transparency through E-FIRs and forensic investigations, and inclusion of terrorism and mob lynching definitions. Shah also emphasized nationwide training efforts for police and judicial staff to enforce these laws effectively.
