Algeria: President Murmu Highlights India's Role In Global Development
President Droupadi Murmu addressed the Indian Community Reception in Algiers on October 13 and said, "Today India is playing an important role in global development. With a consistent annual average growth of 8 per cent, India is one of the fastest-growing major economies. There has been a significant reduction in the number of people living below the poverty line. It is a matter of pride that our country has become the fifth-largest major economy in the world...As India moves forward in its journey of Amrit Kaal, it will continue to move forward with its close partners like Algeria."
