Economist Jeffrey Sachs warned that the world is failing to act fast enough on climate change and decarbonisation, despite decades of warnings. He said global temperatures have already reached 1.5°C of warming, with the pace now accelerating toward 1.8 to 1.9°C by the mid-2030s if urgent action is not taken. Praising the Adani Group’s efforts in green energy transition, Sachs said many countries still lack a clear strategy for decarbonising their energy systems. He also criticized the rollback of green energy policies in the United States, calling it “absolutely insane.”
