Around 490 million people suffer from Vitamin D deficiency in India. Urban India has a huge Vitamin D deficiency. A survey showed that 88% of Delhi's population suffers from a Vitamin D deficit. Studies have shown that Vitamin D aids in weight loss and potentially reduces the formation of new fat cells in the body. Vitamin D also stimulates hair follicles and helps reduce hair fall. Interestingly, the constant use of sunscreen is a risk factor even though it helps prevent damages to the skin from the sun rays. Experts explain how and why.
