On The Special Edition of The Buck Stops Here, NITI Aayog Member Bibek Debroy talks about RBI's U-turns, why he doesn't approve of potshots at RBI Governor and responds to Dr Manmohan Singh's claim of GDP being shaved off by 2 per cent. Terming the attack on RBI Governor 'unethical', the NITI Aayog economist says RBI and its Governor could have been more communicative. However, on RBI's criticism for several flip-flops, Bibek Debroy tells NDTV, "Instead of criticizing RBI, we must applaud it for its willingness to tweak." As he talks about the current situation and the long queues, Bibek Debroy adds, "Situation will definitely improve by 1st week of January as far as withdrawal from banks is concerned, but is unlikely to change regarding ATMs." Talking about Dr Manmohan Singh's claim of GDP being shaved off by 2 per cent, the NITI Aayog member says "One shouldn't shoot one's mouth off prematurely."
