The turnout for the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections has been revised from the initial 60 per cent to 65.4 per cent. This final figure of polling on 102 seats across 21 states is lower than the 2019 figure, which was 70 per cent. With 102 seats done and 441 more to go, does the first phase turnout augur well for marathon elections?
