The ruling BJP held a legislative party meet in a Bengaluru hotel on Sunday, hours after Speaker Ramesh Kumar disqualified 14 legislators who had resigned from the assembly. BS Yediyurappa will need to prove his party's majority on the floor of the House - which should be plain sailing; the BJP has 105 MLAs and the support of one independent- the new majority mark after 17 MLAs were disqualified is 104.
