The number of salaried people losing their jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic has surged to 1.89 crore since April, according to data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). There has been a fall in salaried jobs across rural and urban India. On the show, we speak to Mahesh Vyas, MD and CEO of CMIE.
